het Park Foundation

het Park, on the Maas River and next to the Euromast, right in the center of Rotterdam, is with 21 hectares the largest green national monument of the city and a very popular space of all city residents. From 1852 het Park was designed by landscape architects father and son Zocher as a romantic walking place. het Park is a city park with urban nature and at the same time a vibrant meeting place.

With respect for the heritage in this dynamic city, we manage and maintain het Park with great care and do what it takes to touch you with the beauty of this place. Moreover, we offer a rich and varied program where art and nature meet and enhance each other. Be welcome to experience the splendor of this place!

National Monument

Maintaining this top-level artwork led to the creation of het Park Foundation in 2022. We have since built an organization, with a team of gardeners, programmers and a circle of experts, with everything involved. From mission to accounting and from pruning shears to targets.

het Park is the base, backdrop and outdoor venue of the program. From het Park Pavilion, soon to be renovated, we tell the story of het Park' s past and present and offer a wide range of cultural and educational activities; from exhibits and poetry to music and walks. Our goal is for all city residents and park visitors to enjoy this beautiful place and as the designers Zocher intended it to "touch you with beauty.

Top level maintenance

Our team of gardeners maintains het Park at the highest level. So that visitors can enjoy the forest, lawns, water features, shrubs, special plant borders, the Old Dutch garden, botanical garden, winding paths, bridges and the trees. Maintaining an intensively used city park at this level of quality requires dedication from a professional team that works with a passion for greenery and an eye for historical value.

The national monument, in the lee of the metropolitan clamor, is exactly as it was intended by the Zochers: "an ornament to the city. With love and attention, we continue to do what it takes to touch people with the beauty of this national monument, both in the city and far beyond.

For people with and without green fingers, we have a collaborative day in het Park every other Wednesday, be welcome!
